Week 2

Well week 2 is finished and I think we're all looking forward to a long weekend. Remember that there is no class on Monday and I will see everyone on Wednesday. I clarified assignments in class but here is a recap for each class. We have a lot to accomplish since we only have 1 day next week but I'm confident we can get it done if everyone is prepared!

Biology
Read Module 2 to p. 52 keeping up with the vocabulary listing and the "On Your Own" questions as you go through the reading. We will be viewing and drawing bacterial slides in preparation for doing our pond cultures on week 4. You should include your drawings that you made today of cheek cells but no formal lab report is due.

Chemistry
Read all of Module 2 (a shorter module) and be prepared to complete experiment 2.1 and 2.2 in class. Make sure you complete the "On Your Own" questions as you read. You have one lab report due (Exp. 1.4, the one on density) but I would still like to see your data from your measurements from exp. 1.3. Make sure all your calculations are complete and that your significant figures are correct.

Advanced Biology
Read Module 2 to the end and complete your vocabulary listing as well as the "On Your Own" questions as you read. Complete the lab writeup on exp. 2.1 including your drawings ( you may leave them in a composition book as long as I can find them.) I will be doing a notebook check on Wednesday. We will also have a short test on Modules 1 and 2. My best advice is to use the study guide and your vocabulary listing as study aids.
